Ms. Bennett nodded, her gaze thoughtful. “I’ve spoken with Olivia a few times. She’s always been reserved, but I never sensed anything like this. We must make sure she knows she’s supported.”
“Agreed,” Ms. Green said. “Do you think… do you think I overreacted by calling the police immediately?”
Ms. Bennett placed a reassuring hand on her arm. “You did exactly what you should have. In situations like this, it’s better to act quickly. If there is abuse happening, Olivia needed someone to intervene.”
Ms. Green nodded, the reassurance a small comfort in the midst of uncertainty. “I just hope she’s okay.”
